It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha Sue Smith Stephens of Mount Pleasant, Texas, who passed away on August 22, 2025, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Larue Smith and Annabelle Smith; her husband Herbert Glenn Stephens; and her siblings, Donald (Sonny), Verlon (Freckles), Neil (Buck), Ranny Smith, Margaret Street and Nelda Cooper.

She is survived by: her children, Mike Stephens (Michelle), Stephanie Gonzalez (Martin) and Bandaline Wood (Dennis); her grandchildren, Lance Davis (Michel), Emily Karr (Chris), Michael Stephens, Max Stephens (Jordan), Natalie Gonzalez, Madalynn Stephens and Adrian Gonzalez; her great grandchildren, Caysn, Jay, Emerson, Trent, Flossy, Micah, Ezra, Cole, Zion and Kai; and her siblings, Danny (Ann) and Sheila Smith. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
