With sadness, we share the passing of Max Mayes (Mount Pleasant, Texas). Max, born on February 28, 1940, passed away on September 15, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilson Mayes and Cleties Mayes of Pryorsburg, KY; and his former wife Sweet Sarah. He is survived by: his brother Dr. Jerry Mayes (Jan) of Dothan, AL.; his wife Sarah Louise Distler; his children, Greg Mayes (Kristen), Lisa Fenley (Keith) and Shawn Mayes (Arlene); his grandchildren, Kaela Mayes, Taylor Mayes, Jordan Mayes (Kylie), Austin Fenley (Katelynn), Katy Davison (AJ), Mitchell Mayes, Riley Mayes, Kelcy Mayes and Meredith Mayes; and his great grandchildren, Renleigh Richie, Kanaan Johnson, Sterling Mayes, Ellie Mae Fenley, Wesley Mayes, Clementine Fenley, Maren Mayes, Audrey Mayes and Blaire Mayes.
