She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlee Walker and Elnora Walker; her husband Royce Richards; her grandson Monty James; and her siblings, Travis Jernigan, George Albert Elliott, Clarence Walker, Carl Ray Washington, Thomas Glenn Washington, Jerry Wayne Washington and Sarah Washington.
She is survived by: her children, Phillip Walker (Judy) of Sulphur Springs, Texas, Tony Walker of Mount Pleasant, Texas, Billy Farrier (Kamye) of Frisco, Texas and Kuriston Walker of Sulphur Springs, Texas; her siblings, Luther Lee King (Letha) of Mount Pleasant, Texas and Teresa Walker of Daingerfield, Texas; and her close friend Cathleen Hart. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and dear friends.
Viewing will be held on Friday, October 9th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the Tumey Mortuary (611 N Gibson Ave, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Greater Bibleway Missionary Baptist Church (503 School St, Mt Pleasant, TX 75455). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 10th 2026 at the Old West Side Cemetery.
