He was predeceased by: his parents, Ken Wayne and Cora Belle Fain Shelton; his siblings, Randy Shelton, Jeannie Kay and Sandra Morgan; and his grandson Gabriel Woodle.

He is survived by: his wife Joyce Woodle; his children, Wayne Woodle and Amanda Shelton (Ryder O'Quinn); his grandchildren, Eli Woodle, Justin O'Quinn and Alyssah Cargil; and his siblings, Kenny Shelton (Tena), Gayla Elrod and Mutt Lorance.

Visitation was held on Monday, October 6th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home (409 N Kaufman St, Mt Vernon, TX 75457). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 7th 2025 at the Connor Cemetery.
