He was predeceased by: his parents, Cliff McKee and Nettie Zelma Brasher McKee; his sons, Lonnie and Ronnie McKee; and his brothers, Alton McKee and Bill McKee.

He is survived by: his wife Carol McKee; his son Darren McKee (Emerald); his granddaughter Amber Dicken (Zach); his great grandchildren, Piper Dicken and Quade Dicken; and his siblings, Faye Little (Bud), Annie Metcalf and Butch (Claudia). He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
