He was predeceased by: his parents, Lendal Lavern and Margaret Ann Winter; and his daughter Debra J. Whigham. He is survived by: his wife Eva Winter; his daughters, Nina Scales and Elaine Zucca; his grandchildren, Wayne Scales, Jason Whigham and Gianna Zucca; and his great grandchildren, Easton Zucca, Waylon Whigham and Waylon Tenbrook. He is also survived by many extended family members and dear friends.
