It is always difficult saying goodbye to someone we love and cherish. Family and friends must say goodbye to their beloved Edna Harrod of Mount Vernon, Texas, who passed away at the age of 87, on October 18, 2025. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Coy R. Davis; her husband Gene D. Harrod; her mother Seple Davis (Corley); her brothers, Robbie G. Davis and Billy M. Davis; and her son-in-law Gary Burnaman.
She is survived by: her daughters, Genea Burnaman and Ginger Lyon (Gary); her grandchildren, Ashley Jester (DJ), Seth Burnaman (Lauren), Jared Lyon (Grace) and Jeremy Lyon (Kirsten); her sister Linda Williams (Jack); and her sisters-in-law, Chloeanne Davis and Dortha Davis. She is also survived by seven great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Purley Baptist Church (309 Farm Road 900 W, Mt Vernon, TX 75457). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at the Purley Cemetery (309 Farm Road 900 W, Mt Vernon, TX 75457).
