He was predeceased by: his parents, Herman Harrod and Erbye Harrod; his brothers, Roland Marnel Harrod and Charles Lynn Harrod; and his son-in-law Gary Burnaman.
He is survived by: his wife Edna Davis Harrod; his children, Genea Burnaman and Ginger (Gary Lyon); and his grandchildren, Ashley Jester (DJ), Seth Burnaman (Lauren), Jared Lyon (Grace) and Jeremy Lyon (Kirstin). He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
