We announce the death of Harold Taylor (Mount Vernon, Texas), who passed away on September 13, 2026, at the age of 85. Harold will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his wife Brenda Carol Taylor (Anders); his parents, Holley Taylor and Flora Taylor; and his siblings, Zach Taylor, Betty Ruth Sprague, Billie Marie Cockrell, Margaret Imogene May and Patsy Anne Johnson.
He is survived by: his daughter Katherine Hope Salinas (Reggie); his grandchildren, Zachary Taylor Duenez, Wesley Wayne Salinas and Sarah Elizabeth Duenez; and his sisters, Joyce Marchi and Brenda Hurst. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home (409 N Kaufman St, Mt Vernon, TX 75457). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at the Mount Vernon City Cemetery.
