It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Michael Edwards of Mount Vernon, Texas, who passed away on September 4, 2024, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Luther Edwards, Jr. and Vera Gaye Clinton Edwards. He is survived by: his wife Anne Edwards of Mt. Vernon; his children, Lance Edwards (Rene), Patrick Edwards (Monica), Zack Briscoe (Melissa), Jeff Briscoe (Amy) and Julie Dunn (Brian); his grandchildren, Michael Edwards (Kaitlyn), Mary Edwards, Katherine Edwards, Olivia Edwards, Ava Edwards, Drake Briscoe, Madeline Hamberg (Mason), Winnie Kate Briscoe, Blakeley Briscoe, Brooks Briscoe, Jack Skelton, Poppy Briscoe, Joshua Dunn and Rachel Dunn; and his great grandchildren, Mateo Hamberg and Luca Hamberg.
Visitation was held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church (522 TX-37, Mt Vernon, TX 75457). A funeral service was held on Sunday, September 8th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
