He was predeceased by: his parents, Moncies Bara and Ramona Bara (Saiz); and his children, Marc Hanaway and Josephine Bara. He is survived by: his children, Joe Bara Jr. of Muleshoe, Texas, Isabelle Bara Escajeda of La Mesa and Jolinda Hanaway of Dell, Indiana. He is also survived by his fourteen grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
