He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer Bledsoe and Gladys Bledsoe (Calico); his wife Vera Gibson; his daughter Joanna Lyn Thompson; and his sister Martha Sue Donham.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Bledsoe (Elizabeth Rose) of Moriarty, Darian Bledsoe (Liu) of Farwell, Texas, Mike Brewer (Stephanie) of Cartersville, Georgia and Debbie Underwood of Yukon, Oklahoma. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
