He was predeceased by: his parents, Archie Hightower (Miller) and Flurier Hightower; his son Jeffery Hightower; his siblings, James "Jim" Hightower, Oscar Hightower, Charles Hightower, Robert Wayne Hightower, Betty Pinner and Manda Reynolds; and his siblings-in-law, Clara Hightower, Virginia Santiago, Kenneth Clegg and Robert Walker.
He is survived by: his wife Linda Hightower of Nacogdoches, Texas; his grandchildren, Jacob Hightower (Kristen) of Nacogdoches and Bethani Drake (Tanner) of Lubbock, Texas; his great grandchild Tate Scott Drake of Lubbock, Texas; his siblings, Nell Walker of Lufkin, Texas, Carrie Clegg of Lufkin, Texas, Mary Whitley of Lufkin, Texas, Windle Hightower (Donna) of Huntington and Bobby Dan Hightower (Monica) of Lufkin, Texas; and his siblings-in-law, Fran Hightower of Lufkin, Texas, Kenneth Pinner of Lufkin and Don Ellisor (Shirley) of Crosby, Texas. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 9:30 AM at the Mount Zion Baptist Church (3767 SE Stallings Dr, Nacogdoches, TX 75961). A funeral service was held on Saturday, July 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
