He was predeceased by: his wife Anna Walther Serrano. He is survived by: his children, Eugenie "Jeannie" Serrano (Jim Pitts) of Timpson, Texas, Mathias "Benny", Jan Serrano of Surfside Beach and Efrain (Patricia Serrano) of Nacogdoches, Texas.; his grandchildren, Mathias "Matt" (Amie Serrano), Jenna Shay Serrano (Andy Smith), Stephen (Jennie Serrano), Lora (Brian Means), Christina Martin (Derrick Grant) and Courtney Rodgers (Daniel Murray); his great grandchildren, Gavin, Gunner Means, Emmy, Easton, Ella Rodgers and Baylee Serrano; his sisters, Carmen Iris Fuentes and Annie Montes; and his close friend Panda.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Immaculate Conception Catholic Church or the Disabled American Veterans organization.
