With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Farrar Bentley of Nacogdoches, Texas, who passed away on November 21, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Maria Rafaela Farrar and John Freeman Kasper; his wife MaryAnn Schramel; his children, Christopher Bentley (Anne) of Nacogdoches, Stephen Bentley (Deanna) of Austin Texas, Andrew Bentley (Joan) of Tyler, Annemarie Bentley Story (Stephen) of Nacogdoches and Katherine Bentley Eshelman (Dallas) of Denton, Texas.; his grandchildren, Rebekah Garcia (Joseph) of Whitehouse, Christopher Bentley (Charity) of Nacogdoches, Caroline Ginty (Andrew) of Houston, William Bentley (Shelbi) of Whitehouse, Elizabeth Brooks (Lee) of St. Petersburg, Miles Bentley of Buenos Aires, Harrison Owens of Houston, Abigail Bentley of Tyler, Evan Eshelman of Portsmouth, Bryn Eshelman of Denton, Logan Story of Carrollton and Samuel Bentley of Tyler, Texas.; and his great grandchildren, Emerson Bentley, Anna Catherine Brooks, Averie Bentley, Rey Garcia and Colbie Bentley. He was also cherished by his children and grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 from 9:15 AM to 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church of Nacogdoches, Texas (411 North St, Nacogdoches, TX 75961). A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 29th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the First Baptist Church (411 North St, Nacogdoches, TX 75961).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Farrar and MaryAnn Bentley Education Fund through Stephen F. Austin State University.
