He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Johnson and Littie Callie Koonce Johnson; his wife Marjorie Johnson; and his siblings, Grady Johnson, J. T. Johnson, Lena Mae Perry and Lamerle Pickard.
He is survived by: his children, James Johnson of Bridge City, Texas, Yvonne Hull (Gerald) of Bridge City and Fran Johnson of Jasper, Texas; and his stepdaughters, Daphne Sandoz (Stuart) of Jasper and Sandy Steele (Robert) of Houston, Texas. He is also survived by nine grandchildren; sixteen great grandchildren; ten great-great grandchildren and numerous nephews and nieces.
