He is survived by: his wife Deorthy Murray Long Russell of Nacogdoches; his daughters, Kelli Mathews of Center and Mica Matlock of Cushing; his grandchildren, Collin Mathews of Center and Taighen Mathews May of Center; his great grandchild Vaughn Murray Mathews; his stepdaughters, Kimberly Honeywell and Penny Scarborough; his stepgrandchildren, Emily Honeywell Hankins, Trista Honeywell, Christopher Schroeder, Nikki Capers, Lindsey Kent and Kelby Howell; his siblings, Haron Russell (Pat) of Denning and Sharon (Bobby Spells) of Diboll; and his nephew Jody Russell. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews.
