It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Van Milton Kelley of Nacogdoches, Texas, who passed away on July 9, 2025, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parent Francis Kelley; his daughter Penelope Laura Kelley; and his mother Audrey Flo Kelley (Vanover). He is survived by: his wife Lesa Kelley; his sister Vicki Harrison (Bill) of Corpus Christi; his sons, Gavin and Van Kelley Jr. (Gina) of Georgetown; his grandchildren, Rebekah, Amanda and Chelsey; his daughter Dona Mosby (Tracy) of Arcadia; his grandchildren, Steven and Jessica; his son Jeremy Barrow of Baytown; his granddaughter Stella; his daughter Mandy Fortenberry (Evan) of Lumberton; his grandchild Shelby; his daughter Sara Brucia (Brandon) of Nacogdoches; and his grandchildren, Brayden and Bethany. He is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, beloved in-laws, cousins, and dear friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Laird Funeral Home (2116 South St, Nacogdoches, TX 75964). A funeral service was held on Sunday, July 13th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, an organization close to our hearts.
