He is survived by : his wife Hazel Burns of Nacogdoches; his daughter Shemika; his grandchildren, Alantis and Ashunte; his siblings, George (Dana), Archie (Diane), Charles (Kim) and Norma (Bill); his aunt Alice Joyce Rogers; his mother-in-law Lula B. Upshaw; and his sister-in-law Mary Upshaw. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
