She was predeceased by: her parents, Aminitus Murdock and John Murdock; and her husband Egbert Lee Proctor. She is survived by: her children, Debbie Proctor and Danny Proctor (Robin Proctor); and her grandchildren, Stephanie Proctor, Justin Proctor and Chase Proctor. She is also survived by four great-grandchildren, along with many extended family members, church friends.

The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in Ava's memory to Hospice of Texarkana or the Animal League.
