It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jerry Nichols of Nash, Texas, born in Texarkana, Arkansas, who passed away on March 26, 2023, at the age of 78, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his former wife Gilda Nichols; his mother Bertie Mae; his stepfather Bob Anderson; and his father O. R. Nichols. He is survived by: his wife Cheryl Nichols of Nash, TX; his daughters, Jennifer Buls (Robert) of Texarkana, AR and Teri Carver (Anthony) of North Augusta, SC; his grandchildren, Brandon Buls (Rachel) of Yukon, OK, Ashlee Kooistra (Steve) of Sumter, SC and Logan Carver (Christine) of Wheat Ridge, CO; his siblings, Robert Nichols (Linda) of Texarkana, TX, Billy Nichols (Debby) of DeKalb, TX, Ricky Nichols (Pam) of Wake Village, TX and Rosielle Stewart (Robert) of Texarkana, TX; and his stepchildren, Lynn McGonigal (Kevin) of Texarkana, TX and Woody Adams of Texarkana, TX. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
