In the vast expanse of eternity, Jodie shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Jodie farewell, his loved ones carry with them the precious gift of his memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
He was predeceased by: his father Jackie Gauntt Sr.; and his brother Donald Smith. He is survived by: his mother Joyce Gauntt; and his siblings, Jackie Gauntt Jr., Buddy Gauntt, Jeff Gauntt, Janette Gauntt, Crystal Gauntt and Joanna Yarberry.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Liberty Eylau Baptist Church (5605 S Lake Dr, Texarkana, TX 75501).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to a cancer support organization in Jodie's memory.
