She was predeceased by: her parents, James Henry and Ollie Henry; her husband Curtis Phillips; her former husband Eston Horton; her daughter Dorothy Garlington; her grandson William "Little Billy" Horton; and her sister Paula.
She is survived by: her children, Cindy Watkins (Maurice "Termite" Watkins) of Crosby, Texas, Henry Horton (Jan) of Mittie, Louisiana and Billy Horton (Lisa) of Nederland, Texas.; and her siblings, James D. Henry (Fran) of Port Neches, Jenice Conway and Darla LaBorde. She is also survived by her nine grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family wishes that donations be made in her honor to the Youth Ministry at Triangle Baptist Church in Nederland, Texas.
