He is survived by: his wife Edna Stanley Phelps; his son Shannon Wayne Phelps (Tanya); his grandchild SaraKate Phelps of New Braunfels; his son Stanley Wade Phelps (Kristee); his grandson Brady of Seguin, TX.; and his brothers, Johnny (Mary) of Ft Worth, Jerry (Sandy), Curtis (Maleia) of Avery and Danny Joe (Lou) of Texarkana, TX. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
