He was predeceased by: his parents, Prospero Vera, Sr. and Tomasa Martinez Vera; his wife Carole Hutson Vera; and his daughter Mary Esther Vera. He is survived by: his children, Stacy Ford (Don) of Garland, Rebecca Lalumandier of New Boston, Texas and Tony Vera (Carla Burns) of New Boston, Texas; his sister-in-law Julia Vera of San Antonio, Texas.; and his grandchildren, Joshua Vera (Britnie), Emily Henderson (Justin), Dillon Bannister (Mackenzie), Alyssa Bannister, Jesse Bannister (Elysia) and Derrick Bannister.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:30 PM at the Bates Family Funeral Home (601 E Front St, De Kalb, TX 75559). A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 2nd 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Wards Creek Cemetery (17 Co Rd 4239, Simms, TX 75574).
