She was predeceased by: her parents, Ray Brooks Duran and May Lois Duran; and her brother David Ray Duran. She is survived by: her husband David L. Powell; her children, Jennifer Johnson, Chris Johnson, Jessica Powell-Allbright (Allbright) and Sarah Copeland; her grandchildren, Dyllon Johnson, Jhett Johnson and Easton Copeland; and her siblings, Debbie Moore, Douglas Duran, Carol Vandiest, Drenda Tappe, Beck Mitchell and Sara West. She is also survived by numerous extended family members and dear friends.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 1:00 PM at the New Beginnings Baptist Church of Patton Village (16715 Main St, Splendora, TX 77372).
