She was predeceased by: her husband Thomas Brown; her parents, Carris Wade and Thelma Wade; and her brothers, Carris Wade Jr. and Dale Wade.
She is survived by: her children, Melvin Edgar Jones Jr. (Lynn), Wesley Jones (Rosa) and Margaret Yvonne Courtney (Ed); and her siblings, Robert Wade, Jerry Wade, Grace Cauthen and Betty Chambers. She is also survived by eight grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.
