He was predeceased by: his parents, Leonard Obediah Kendrick and Dona Lee Kendrick (Jones); and his sister Zoylea Johnson. He is survived by: his wife Shirley Kendrick of New Caney, TX; his children, Lenora Stubbs (Michael) of Grapeland, TX, Patricia Romo (Richard) of Deer Park, TX and Willie Kendrick Jr. (Edie) of Splendora, TX; his sisters, Ila Mae Burroughs Grace of Tomball, TX and Dona Sue Ford (David) of Groveton, TX; his grandchildren, Michael Wayne Stubbs Jr. (Brittany), Sierra Leyva (Brian), Joshua Stubbs (Jessica), Amy Kendrick, Lindsey Rodriguez, Katelyn Kendrick, Adam Romo, Jessica Brent and Emily Ricciardi; and his great grandchildren, Brianne Stubbs, Makenzie Stubbs, Brooklyn Stubbs, Eli Leyva, Virginia Leyva, Asher Leyva, Jordyn Stubbs, Wyatt Austin, Levi Bass and Jamison Stubbs. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
