She was predeceased by : her parents, Leslie Mills and Gladys Mills (Sessions); her siblings, Leslie Mills, Jr., Jackie Holmes Mills, Gladys Adelle Lawrence, Ruby Hare and Dottie Ivey; and her stepgrandson Johnathon Robert Henk.

She is survived by : her husband Wendell H. Schnitz, Sr.; her sons, Charles Allen Schnitz Sr. (Jennifer) and Wendell Herman Schnitz, Jr. (Laura); her grandsons, Charles Schnitz Jr. (Delane), Jacob Kyle Sanders (Amanda), Richard "Rickey" Allen Schnitz (Megan), Travis Anthony Schnitz (Valorie) and Derek Austin Schnitz; her stepgranddaughters, Sara Elizabeth Nino, Bridget Vandervort and Mary Aguillon; and her sisters, Audrey West, Darleen Tabor, Joyce Duell and Marlin Haygood. She is also survived by 15 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren.
