He was predeceased by: his parents, Solomon Pierce Bishop and Ina Mae Mobley Bishop; his brother William Elder Bishop of Earl Graham; and his in-laws, William Duncan, Gracie Bishop, Linda Carol Bishop and Betty Bishop.
He is survived by: his wife Frances Bishop; his daughters, Belinda Oliver (Jim Oliver) and Debra Bishop; his grandchildren, Amie Plunkett (Jalam), Kevin Oliver (Ann) and Paula Boatwright (Ryan); his great grandchildren, Cora Warwick, Hilton Warwick, Allyson Warwick (Hagen Buchanan), Jonathan Plunkett, Ivy Oliver and Ian Oliver; his great great grandchild Hayze Pierce Ridnell; and his siblings, Virgil Bishop, Viola Duncan and Irene Gaylord (Tommy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews.
