He is survived by: his brother Clyde Pierce (Donna) of Wills Point, Texas; his children, Tina Schafer (Don) of Nocona, Texas and Bobby Cates Jr. (Tammy) of Northlake, Texas; and his grandchildren, Bryan English, Paige Seynaeve and Cassie Beavers. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
