Beekman of Oak Leaf, Texas, born in San Francisco, California, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 12, 2024 at the age of 87. He was predeceased by : his parents, John Beekman and Anne Beekman (Fadin); his wife Barbara Joan Beekman (Lynch); his children, Rebecca Colleen Carter and John Patrick Beekman; his sister Jeanette M Breslin; and his brother-in-law Robert Lynch.

He is survived by : his daughter Laura Lee (Steven Patterson); his sister Joanne C. Michelucci; his sister-in-law Patricia Poulo; his grandchildren, Ashlee (Garett Thomas), Christopher (Taylor Patterson), Jason (Desiree Carter), Jared (Crystal Carter), Jennifer (Robert Rodriguez) and Joshua (Lindsey Carter); and his great grandchildren, Wesley Patterson, Juliet Shannon, Liam Thomas, Austin Bates, Savannah Sierra, Nathaniel Sierra, Landon Carter and Sophia Carter.

A committal service was held on Thursday, May 16th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the DFW National Cemetery (2000 Mountain Creek Pkwy, Dallas, TX 75211).
