She was predeceased by: her parents, Guadalupe Benavidez (Beltran) and Roman Benavidez; and her husband Emerenciano "Chano" Ortiz. She is survived by: her son Eric Ortiz (Vanessa) of Odem, Texas; her grandchildren, Nicole Ortiz and Mark Ortiz; and her sister Alicia Candela of Odem, Texas. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Resthaven Funeral Home Chapel (606 S San Patricio St, Sinton, TX 78387). A rosary was held on Sunday, July 27th 2025 at 6:00 PM at the same location. A funeral Mass was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Sacred Heart Church-Odem (401 W Willis St, Odem, TX 78370). A burial was held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 2:15 PM at the San Pedro Cemetery-Odem Us (1928 US-77, Odem, TX 78370).
