She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy W Norwood and Ruby Williams Norwood; her sons, Ronny Joe Armstrong and Derrel Wayne Armstrong; her former husband Joe Armstrong; her husband Lawrence Gentles, 3rd (Charles Chism); and her siblings, Juanita Parrigin and Robert Norwood.
She is survived by: her son Joe Slaton Armstrong of Odessa. She is also survived by two grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
