He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Brinlee and Viva Brinlee (Arrington); his wife Wanda Lee; his siblings, Elizabeth Ann Brinlee and Bill Brinlee; his great grandchild Wyatt Augustus Grohman; and his brothers-in-law, Jon Hubbs, Michael Jordan and Stan Jordan.

He is survived by: his children, Randal Jay Brinlee and Kelly Brinlee-Kinnaird (Clay); his brothers, Wayne Brinlee (Angela) and Dan Brinlee (Jennifer); his sister-in-law Linda Hubbs; his grandchildren, Angus McMillion and Sara Grohman (Lonnie); and his great grandchildren, Weston Grohman and Waylon Grohman'Gray'.

Visitation was held on Monday, August 11th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (6801 I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762). A graveside service was held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.

En lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the National Kidney Foundation and Humane Society of Odessa.
