We announce the death of Donnie Lee Murray of Odessa, Texas, who passed away on September 23, 2026, at the age of 94. Donnie will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Donnie will be remembered for the impact he had on the lives of those around him. Friends, family, and colleagues will cherish their memories and the time shared. Donnie’s absence will be deeply felt by those who valued his companionship.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas James Murray and Violet Lee Williamson Murray; and his wife Margie Ann Morris Murray. He is survived by: his children, Donald G Murray (Rhonda Murray), Janice M. Johnson (William) and Johnson. He is also survived by eight beautiful grandchildren and nine great-grand children.
Visitation was held on Friday, October 2nd 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home (6801 I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762). A funeral service was held on Saturday, October 3rd 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Sunset Memorial Gardens (6801 I-20BL, Odessa, TX 79762).
