He is survived by: his wife Joann Olivas; his son Gilbert-Anthony Rivera Jr. (Baby); his parents, Gilberto Esparza (LuAnn Rivera) and Olivia Esparza; and his godchildren, Baldemar Escarsega, Ethan Olivas, Jerek Martinez, Anthony Gabilondo, Milinda Mendez, Wisha Lujan, Meridian Rodriguez, Marissa Ulate, Matthew Ulate, Josie Olivas and Seleste Zambrano. He is also survived by 22 nieces and nephews, 50 great-nieces and great-nephews, and 10 great-great-nieces and great-great-nephews.
