He was predeceased by: his parents, J. M. "Lip" Lipham and Velma Lipham (Feaster); his stepmother Lee Lipham; his sisters, Evelyn Odom and Wanda Cooper; and his brother-in-law Lefty Cooper.
He is survived by: his wife Mildred Lea Lipham; his children, Joy Lea Lipham Young (Roger) and James "Eddie" Edwin Lipham Jr. (Julie); his brothers, Bill Lipham (Sharon) and Ronnie Lipham (Faye); his siblings-in-law, Cecil Odom and Anne Nichols; his grandchildren, Sara Furnal (David), Amanda Donahue (Tim), Eve Hellewell, Joshua Hellewell, Taylor Hellewell (Amber), Natalie Young, Jonathan Demastus and Jenna Benear (Grant); and his great grandchildren, Logan Furnal, Will Furnal, Jayden Hellewell, Rylee Hellewell, Stryder Hellewell, Noah Hellewell, Hannah Hellewell and Sarah Hellewell. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and friends.
