With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Maria Elena Hernandez (Odessa, Texas), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on May 22, 2026 at the age of 79. She was predeceased by: her parents, Prudencio Gómez and Teodora Gómez; her daughter Carmen Fuentes; and her siblings, Gonzalo Gómez, Juan Gomez, Delia Carrasco, Magdalena Ibarra, Patricio Gomez, Charlotta Gonzalez, Fermin Gomez and Antonio Gomez.
She is survived by: her husband Oscar Hernandez; her children, Alma, Elsa, Maria, Virginia, Terry, Jessie and Oscar; and her siblings, Elvira Madrid, Ofelia Granado and Edmundo Gómez. She is also survived by grandkids and great grandkids.
