He was predeceased by: his parents, Toribio and Soledad Sigala Ortega; his wife Francisca'Kika'Ortega; and his siblings, Carmen Ortega Garcia and Manuel Ortega.
He is survived by: his children, Mireya Gomez (Victor) of Lubbock, TX., Rafael Ortega (Silvia) of San Antonio and David Ortega (Dolores) of Odessa, TX.; Lidio Ortega of Odessa. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Martinez Funeral Home & Crematory (1040 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761). A rosary will be held on Monday, October 12th 2026 at 7:00 PM at the Martinez Funeral Home Chapel. A Mass will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St Joseph's Catholic Church (907 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761). A burial will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Ector County Cemetery (300 S Dixie Blvd, Odessa, TX 79761).
