He was predeceased by: his parent Alejandra Ornelas; and his siblings, Lupe Ornelas, Maria Duran and Adela Jimenez. He is survived by: his significant other Thad Dauteuil of Odessa, TX; his siblings, Irma Ornelas of Odessa, Peggy Ornelas of Odessa, Betty Pina (Jesus) of Odessa, Aurora Duran (Salvador) of Iraan, Martina Allen of San Angelo, Santos Acosta of Sulphur Springs, Joe Ornelas of Balmorhea, Michael Ornelas and Juan Ornelas of Odessa; and his pet Bingo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 10:30 AM to 4:30 PM at the Peaceful Garden Funeral Home (116 W 4th St, Pecos, TX 79772). A rosary will be held on Tuesday, September 15th 2026 from 7:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Christ the King Catholic Church (8666-8692 Co Rd 316, Balmorhea, TX 79718). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Wednesday, September 16th 2026 at the Balmorhea Cemetery.
