He was predeceased by: his parents, Sebe Herman "Curly" Beard and Georgia Fay Price; his former wife Mary Margaret McDonald Beard; his son William Martelle Beard; and his grandson Richard Justin Jorgensen.
He is survived by: his wife Sherrie White Beard; his children, Randy Beard (Sandra) and Molly Taylor (Dennis); and his stepdaughter Missy Melton-Hawley (Luther). He is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 28 great-grandchildren, and seven great-great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Senior Adult Ministry at First Baptist Church of Odessa, in honor of his enduring faith and servant heart.
