We are sad to announce that on April 28, 2023, at the age of 84, Vernon Leon Burton of Odonnell, Texas, born in Rule, Texas passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including : his parents, Alton Burton and Leola Marie Burton (Vernon); his wife Loretta Haney of Lubbock; his sons, Scott Burton of O'Donnell and Randy Burton of Levelland; and his siblings, Alton Burton of Muleshoe, R. W. Burton, Marvin Burton, Edward Burton, Earl Burton, Dorothy Johnson and Velma Burton. He was also cherished by five grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to the Levelland Volunteer Fire Department.
