She was predeceased by: her parents, Luther King and Maggie King; her husband Leon Cowart; her siblings, Sonny, Bill King, Marie Edwards and Bebe Penton; her son David Cowart; and her niece Stephanie King.
She is survived by: her sister Kate Rockwood; her son Billy Jack Cowart (Marsha); her daughter-in-law Linda Cowart; her grandchildren, Luke Cowart, Josh Cowart, Kori Cowart and Brandi Cowart; her great grandchild Kylie Ann Cowart; her nephews, Farron Rockwood, Ben Edwards and Matt King; and her pets, Zoey and Remi.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Scott's Funeral Home (2425 E Main St, Gatesville, TX 76528). A funeral service was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, November 25th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 12:15 PM at the Post Oak Cemetery (2550 FM1996, Oglesby, TX 76561).
