Though Eddy may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories held dear by his family and friends, a guiding light that illuminates their paths in times of darkness.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Billy Randall and Thelma Corine Benton (Sells); his wife Paula Newsom; his sister Vicki Benton; his brother-in-law Butch Newsom; his cousin Billy Williams; and his nephew Eddy Wray Newsom.
He is survived by: his daughter Brenda; his son-in-law Steve Gray of Olney, Texas; and his siblings, Rita Gail Williams of Paradise, Texas and Bobby Dean Benton of Olney, Texas.. He is also survived by Numerous Aunts, Uncles, Nieces, and Nephews.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, October 22nd 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Chapel of Lunn Funeral Home (300 S Avenue M, Olney, TX 76374). A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 23rd 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Restland Cemetery.
