He was predeceased by: his parents, Louie York and Annie York (Dickerson); his son Wesley York; and his siblings, Raymond (Vonda), Floyd (Barbara Etta), Robert (Billie Joe), L. H. (Patsy), Ronnie, Lena Mae (James Beasley), Margie (Pete Robertson) and Betty Jean (Bobby Goodwin).
He is survived by: his wife Wilma Foster; his children, Phillip York (Diane) of Earth and Kathy Shifflett (Danny) of Olney; his grandchildren, DJ Shifflett (Mary) of Abilene, Tanner Shifflett (Ashlie) of Olney, Shelley Bills (Curt) of Dimmitt and Jacy Attaway (Tyler) of Bay City; his great grandchildren, Case Gray, Coy Shifflett, Grady Bills, Bowen Bills, Barrett Bills, Flynt Shifflett, Kanyon Shifflett and Levi Attaway; and his sisters-in-law, Virblene Talbott and Carolyn York. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service was held on Thursday, July 17th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Olney Methodist Church.
