He was predeceased by: his parents, Eldon Franks and Jessie Ruth Franks (Kiser); his son Michael Don Franks; and his siblings, James Eldon Franks and Linda Franks Elliott.
He is survived by: his wife Helen Franks of Olton; his children, Mark Franks (Rosi) of Hecken, Timothy Franks of Richardson and Tamara Franks of Olton; his daughter-in-law Barbara Franks of Hereford; and his grandchildren, Aaron Franks, Desta Mason (Wes), Billy Joe Franks (Eva), Jens Hart (Alexandra) and Dirk Schenkel. He is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
