He was predeceased by : his wife Sofia Martinez; and his son Samuel Martinez, Jr.. He is survived by : his children, Jose Luiz Martinez of Plainview and Susana Armour of Greenville, TN; and his siblings, Ernesto Martinez of Littlefield and Ernestina "Nettie" Martinez of Olton. He is also survived by six grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and eight great-great-grandchildren.
