It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Nell Settles of Omaha, Texas, born in Emmet, Arkansas, who passed away on September 9, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by : her husband James Allen Settles; her parents, Fred Harris and Tena Harris; and her siblings, Billy, Walter Harris and Jane Haines.

She is survived by : her children, Ted Allen Settles (Tammie) of Seguin and Jana Joyce Freeman (Don) of Maud, Texas; her sister Sue Hudnall of San Antonio, Texas; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Rambo of Omaha, Shirley McIntyre of Omaha and Francis Harris of Emmet, Arkansas; her grandchildren, Kristin Settles (Anthony) of Houston, Callie Richardson (Geoff) of Fort Worth, Kayce Carrier (Chris) of Wake Village, Clint Freeman (Louella) of Hooks, Julia Allison Grimm (Chris) of Seguin, Travis Ehrlich and Chelsea Ehrlich; and her great grandchildren, Brody Carrier, Shanleigh Carrier, Eathan Freeman, Ella Freeman, Emberli Freeman, Taylor Mackenzie Grimm, Kirra Grimm, Cooper Grimm, Gracie Ann Garton, Raegyn Ehrlich, Skyleigh Ehrlich and Prince Williams.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Naples Church of Christ.
