He was predeceased by: his parents, Buddy Travis and Bessie Maxwell; his brothers, Richard Travis, Lidge Travis and J. D. Travis; and his nephew Darryl Travis.
He is survived by: his cousin Shirley Hagan Landers; his sister-in-law Bonnie Travis; his nieces, Jaime Herrington (Jason) and Alicia Collier (Kenneth); and his great-nephews, James Austin Travis, Brant Capps and Chance Collier.
